Greg Johnson

Facilities Office Manager
TMP Chicago office

At the heart of TMP are the people. Employee reviews on Glassdoor routinely cite working with “smart people with a ton of experience” as a major pro of the job. In the “Tell Me About Yourself” series, we sit down with TMP employees from across the globe to learn more about who they are and what makes them tick. Get to know Greg Johnson, Facilities Office Manager in the TMP Chicago office.

TMP: How many years have you been with TMP?

Greg Johnson: 30

TMP: What is your current role and responsibilities and what does your team/department do?

GJ: Building management liaison; receptionist; phone/security systems administrator; assist IT; shipping/receiving; order supplies; vendor contact – in other words, you name it, I probably do it!

TMP: What other roles have you had while at TMP?

GJ: Copy Camera Operator in the Creative Dept. - AdComm Account Rep - Traffic Manager & Phone System Admin

TMP: What advice would give to new employees?

GJ: Always strive to be a constructive part of a solution, not part of the problem.

TMP: What’s one interesting fact about yourself that your co-workers do not know?

GJ: Prior to coming to TMP, I worked in a “Stat House” as a Copy Camera operator making negatives for contact prints, bromides (enlargements) and murals. And when required, I also made contact prints, bromides and murals. Murals, being the most challenging and rewarding because (with the exception of drying), they were done entirely by hand.
