Get to know Varun Kumta, Account Manager in the TMP Singapore office.

TMP: When did your TMP career begin?

Varun Kumta: May 2015.

TMP: What is your current role and responsibilities and what does your team/department do?

VK: I am part of the client servicing team at TMP Singapore. I currently manage the employer branding and marketing engagement for some of TMP Singapore’s largest clients - Fortune 500 brands from the financial services, consulting, FMCG and technology sectors – across the Asia-Pacific region.

TMP: What do you think is unique about working at TMP?

VK: The opportunity to be part of a global team that supports large and complex organizations to grow by helping them find the best talent.

TMP: What advice would give to new employees?

VK: Be ready to work with teams, clients, partners and vendors from around the world on a daily basis.

TMP: What’s one interesting fact about yourself that your co-workers do not know?

VK: Completely by accident, I have built up a wardrobe that consists almost entirely of blue and black clothes.

TMP: What’s one of your favorite things about living in Singapore?

VK: From a work perspective, as Singapore is the primary hub for companies in the Asia Pacific region, working here has lifted my standards of professionalism and efficiency – there’s no place here for mediocrity!

Living here is fantastic too – there’s a great mix of cultures, fantastic food and the beaches of Bali and Phuket are 60 minutes away!
