Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will support our teams in all HR topics and across the entire employee life cycle. In coordination with the HR team for Europe, you will be responsible for various tasks within the HR department, with a primary focus on writing employment contracts and side letters, managing payroll, serving as an expert in employment law and leading the onboarding and offboarding of employees in Austria.

We are looking for expertise in labor law, a flair for people, first experience in payroll and administrative HR work and an interest in culture and New Work. You have an eye for detail, are well structured, are a real data hero and fluent in German and English.

  • Prepare employment contracts for new hires, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Customize contracts as necessary based on individual employment terms.
  • Create side letters for specific employee agreements, amendments, or special arrangements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Lead the monthly payroll process with our external payroll consultant
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in our core HR tool (Personio). Input new hire information, update employee status changes, and manage documentation related to promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Organize the onboarding and offboarding process
  • Oversee the time management for our Austrian employees
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of Austrian and other EU employees
  • Support the HR Director Europe and People & Culture Business Partner Europe
  • Be able to answer legal HR questions and provide guidance to employees and managers on HR inquiries
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and employment law procedures
  • Proactively support the delivery of HR processes and HR projects
  • Assist in the coordination of various programs like corporate events or employee engagement events
  • Bachelor’s degree required, a master's degree is a plus
  • Experience dealing with confidential and sensitive information required
  • Working knowledge of HR practices and legalities to hiring in Austria a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, working knowledge of an HRIS would be amazing.
  • Ability to multi-task is essential, with a keen sense of priorities and sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (both written and verbal)

The monthly basic minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on the Austrian law for this position is 3.077 Euro. This includes full health insurance, occupational accident insurance, public pension scheme, and public unemployment insurance. Depending on your professional qualifications and previous experience, your salary can be higher.
