On September 27, the Web Marketing Association held their WebAward Competition and recognized the digital professionals of TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications for their design of a careers website. The site belongs to an undisclosed government agency as well as an online community. The competition judged more than 2,300 websites from 35 countries, on top website design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology. Both sites convincingly exceeded these seven rigorous criteria among sites submitted in their respective categories. The WebAwards add to the honors TMP Worldwide website designs have received this year in such competitions as the Webby Awards, EMA Awards, Addy Awards and ER Awards.
The government careers site received a 2006 WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development in the Government Standard of Excellence category. It shows an exciting career for government service in an authentic way while making it easier to search for jobs and begin the application process.
TMP Worldwide also received a 2006 WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development in the Online Community Standard of Excellence category. The site shares best practices in Human Capital Management among government HR leaders.
The WebAwards cap a year of honors for TMP Worldwide in website design. A corporate site, designed by TMP Worldwide, received both a Webby Awards "Official Honoree" and a first place in the Corporate Website category in the Addy Awards competition of the Advertising Club of Metropolitan Washington. In April, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) honored TMP Worldwide with first place EMA Creative Excellence Awards for websites for the Internal Revenue Service and McGill University as well as a second place award for Sanofi Pasteur. In addition, the Electronic Recruiting Exchange ER Excellence Awards gave an Honorable Mention for Best Corporate Careers Website to TMP for Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
