NEW YORK, NY--(Oct 9, 2013)- TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications, LLC, a global, tech-enabled talent acquisition company, announced today details of its involvement in the upcoming LinkedIn Talent Connect Vegas 2013 conference, to be held October 15 - 17, 2013 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. During the event, Tammy Garmey, TMP Worldwide's senior vice president of Client Strategy and Engagement, will co-lead a session with EMC Corporation, titled, "Digital Candidate Experience 3.x0" on the evolution of the candidate experience in the Big Data age on Thursday, October 17 at 11:30 a.m. PDT.
In today's hyper-connected world driven by social, mobile and online channels, the way candidates can interact with employers goes far beyond just applying for a job. This new era of big data has brought significant changes to business strategy as well as talent acquisition and recruiting. Charting the digital candidate experience requires a fresh, data-driven approach to connect and recruit top performers from anywhere in the world.
During "Digital Candidate Experience 3.x0," Garmey will join Joe Howell, director of Global Employment Brand & Engagement at EMC Corporation, to discuss the future of candidate experience in 2014 and beyond. Attendees of this session will learn how they can plan to change their existing strategies to incorporate candidate data and increase transparency. Highlighting how EMC created a new candidate experience to account for the digital environment, Garmey and Howell will emphasize the importance of customized content in attracting and engaging candidates.
"There is now an almost unlimited number of avenues connecting candidates and employers, but the effectiveness of each method varies widely," said Garmey. "For greatest talent acquisition results in our highly connected world, employers must be able to identify the social, mobile and digital strategies that will help them reach out to the right candidates. TMP is a leader in helping employers navigate the complexities of the digital hiring environment and develop innovative strategies to ensure their success."
In addition to this session, TMP will be hosting a Twitter-based contest that immerses players in the Connect, Inspire, Transform theme of the LinkedIn Talent Connect conference. Given how connectivity and transformation have brought about immense change, participants will be prompted to share their answers to questions on life and world-changing moments, with their answers streamed live throughout the event. During the first two days of the conference, attendees can tweet their answers and ideas to #intalent. After submitting, two winners will be chosen at random on the evening of Wednesday, October 16, 2013 and will receive a $500 American Express gift card.
