TMP found that, in the last six months, it has experienced an 85 percent increase in contracted retainer agreements, delivering social media strategy and services to clients compared to the same period a year ago. It also has seen triple-digit growth (nearly 300 percent) in client requests for social media strategy and services programs in Q2 of 2012 as compared to first quarter results.
According to a survey by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), there has been a significant increase in the use of social media for recruiting purposes over the last few years. More than one-half (56 percent) of organizations claimed they included social media in their recruiting strategies. As a result of increased focus on these channels, more employers are engaging TMP Worldwide to develop and maintain their social media pages – including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Foursquare, among others – and to provide invaluable insight on emerging trends in social media and recruiting.
