TMP Worldwide & UPS Win Prestigious Mobile and Social Media Awards for UPS Jobs “Problem Solved” Campaign

New York, NY — November 20, 2009 - TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications, LLC, a global leader for employment marketing services, and its client UPS Corporate Workforce Planning, received top honors at two awards shows for their creation and deployment of the UPS Jobs "Problem Solved" campaign. The successful campaign was developed to attract, engage and recruit job seekers for UPS.

The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) honored TMP and UPS at their 5th Annual Global Awards ceremony on November 17, 2009 with wins in two categories. As the MMA's highest honors, these awards recognize companies for spearheading the adoption of the mobile channel for marketing purposes.

TMP and UPS won in the North American Cross-Media Integration Category, and was one of three who tied for top global honors as the Best Mobile Campaign Overall. TMP and UPS beat out an impressive line up of contenders that included globally recognized brands and leading consumer agencies.

The third annual Forrester Groundswell Awards were announced on October 27, 2009. The Forrester Groundswell Awards recognize excellence in achieving business and organizational goals with social technology applications. The awards program was developed to support and recognize the principles outlined in the Forrester Research book Groundswell: Winning In A World Transformed By Social Technologies (Harvard Business Press, 2008).

The UPS Jobs "Problem Solved" campaign won in the Employee Managing Category, competing against more than 140 global entries.

The UPS Jobs "Problem Solved" social program reached four million job seekers in one year. It included employee videos, email marketing, employee retention tools, college recruitment, search engine optimization and marketing, job boards, and social media sites (MySpace, Friendster, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) radio, cable television, text messaging, mobile marketing, and newspaper. Thirty thousand responses came from mobile marketing alone. To date, the program has generated 345,000 job applications, at a cost of 75% to 80% less than traditional newspaper ads in many cases.
