On January 13th, we announced the formation of a new wholly-owned subsidiary, TMP Government, LLC (www.tmpgovernment.com), with headquarters in McLean, Virginia in metropolitan Washington, D.C. The new wholly-owned subsidiary expands our metro D.C. office's long-time focus on supporting government agencies and contractors in order to address unique recruitment and outreach communication needs in the public sector.

To better address human capital and communications challenges for both government entities and those who do business with them, we have unveiled a unique approach to "total communications," including digital and traditional programs, to meet the recruitment and outreach needs of government, contractors and associations. TMP Government will blend the local office's decades of experience in government with the global capabilities of TMP Worldwide.

TMP Worldwide President and CEO Michelle Abbey, who has guided the organization since 2002 and led its transition from ownership by Monster Worldwide in 2006, said that the new subsidiary furthers TMP Worldwide's dedication to leveraging best practices across federal, state, and local government markets.

"The creation of TMP Government will help agencies, contractors and non-profit associations alike benefit from proven best practices and leading-edge ideas," said Abbey. "We can better position our clients to take advantage of the present upsurge in interest in working for and doing business with the government."

TMP Government will continue to serve its more than 30 active government clients, and all its contract instruments, including an AIMS GSA Schedule, remain in place. It will continue to partner with leading prime contractors and small businesses, expanding offerings to confront public sector hiring challenges.

Ms. Abbey announced that the TMP Government office will be managed by Lindsay Wozniak, Senior Vice President, who was formerly Regional Vice President for the TMP Worldwide Government Group. Mark Havard, formerly the Government Group's Senior Vice President, will assume the role of Senior Vice President for Business Development for TMP Government.

Ms. Wozniak commented, "As we enter 2009, government has taken center stage as an employer and a problem solver. TMP Government can support agencies and organizations with employer branding, recruitment and retention, as well as marketing and issues-oriented communications, using the latest digital tools integrated with traditional proven techniques. We are dedicated to the public sector and focused on solutions for government challenges."
