Foundry Networks provides high-performance enterprise and service provider switching, routing, security and application traffic management products and solutions to customers all over the world. Needing to recruit for a robust variety of positions, including Legal, Engineering and Sales in multiple locations across the United States, they called upon TMP for a solution.
Open House events were scheduled in the Fall of 2007 in New York and California, and, ideally, only top calibre candidates would be invited to these events. To reach this diverse audience, TMP developed an event site, www.joinfoundry.com, to provide information about the event and allow candidates to pre-register, with all pages of the site reflecting the creative campaign already in use. Not only was this useful for the candidates to learn about the company and obtain further information about the event and opportunities available, but Foundry Networks was also able to pre-screen candidates prior to the event.
Candidates were driven to the event site through several advertising initiatives, including targeted placements on job boards and offline advertising such as bus wraps, as well as by adding a link to Foundry's career section on their corporate website. Interested applicants were driven to each event's unique registration. The initial set-up included up to 10 job descriptions and 8 screening questions, a registration page, functionality to upload resumes, and the ability to auto-send or manually send text email communication, as well as hosting the site for 3 months.
The two events held in 2007 and the event site generated 148 registered candidates for their New York Sales Event in September and 463 candidates for the Bay Area event in November.
